Reconciliation and truth-telling are inseparable. Australia must find the courage to face facts and move forward with the shared knowledge revealed by truth-telling. This conversation reflects on reconciliation processes and truth-telling in both Canada and Australia.

Breakout stream: Truth-telling: Understanding the Past for a Just and Equitable Future
Knowing and accepting the truth about our history and our present is fundamental to reconciliation. It acknowledges the struggles, strengths and resilience of First Nations peoples. From local efforts to nation-wide projects, these sessions highlight different aspects of truth-telling and how they all contribute to a just, equitable and reconciled future.

Plenary: Honouring the Future
Efforts so far towards a just and reconciled Australia are foundations for the future. Younger people are major players in continuing the work of reconciliation. How can we further empower intergenerational action for reconciliation led by powerful energetic voices?

Breakout stream: How do we Move from Safe to Brave?
Awareness of reconciliation not the end game; it’s a first step. What’s required from the broader community is substantive action; brave action for change. What does moving from safe to brave reconciliation look like?
