Rachel Naninaaq Edwarson is a social justice film and digital media writer/director/producer. She is a Iñupiat/Norwegian/Sami woman and directed/produced several documentaries, a few short dramas, a current affairs television show and wrote the first Iñupiaq fantasy for film. She also works in education and is a cultural safety consultant in Australia and the USA, leading holistic culturally safe and responsive practice reform in education, film, arts and media, government and corporate sectors.
Rachel is the daughter George and Debby Edwardson from Utqiagvik (Alaska.) She is married to former land rights lawyer/social justice advocate, David Selvarajah Vadiveloo, and together they have three joyful children.
